Quick Overview

BC VQA Okanagan Valley

Gray Monk 2018 Pinot Gris

This Pinot Gris has a delicate copper straw colour due to the skin’s rosy-grey colour. A pure fruit aroma of peach, pear and yellow apple is accented by a touch of spice and citrus peel.

This smooth yet refreshing, slightly rich, medium-bodied wine has flavours of juicy peach, melon and pear. Notes of tangerine, apple, white peach and a touch of spice linger on the finish.
Critical Acclaim Best of Show White Wine – International East Meets West, USA 2020. Best of Class – Double Gold Medal – 97 points – International East Meets West, USA 2020. Gold Medal – InterVin International Wine Awards 2019. Gold Medal – Great Northwest Invitational Wine Competition, USA 2019.
Wine Making Pinot Gris grapes were hand-picked from both our Estate Vineyard and from our long-standing growers for Gray Monk within the Okanagan Valley. The Pinot Gris grapes were given 6 to 12 hours of skin contact for added texture and mouth-feel, then gently pressed, cool fermented, and aged in stainless steel tanks for pure fruit expression.
