Gray Monk 2019 Siegerrebe

This Siegerrebe is clear and bright with pure fruit aromas of summer melon, yellow apple, white peach, tangerine and white flower.

This is a light-bodied, medium-dry, refreshing white wine with flavours of juicy citrus, honeydew melon and red apple. Lovely notes of tangerine, peach, Meyer lemon and a touch of floral linger on the finish. The touch of natural sweetness is balance by refreshing acidity.
Wine Making Siegerrebe is a white grape variety first bred in 1929 in Germany by crossing Gew├╝rztraminer and Madeleine Angevine. The Siegerrebe grape is early ripening and one of the first grapes to be harvested. The grapes were picked early September from our own estate vineyard, then gently pressed, cool fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks for pure varietal expression.
