Sandhill Pinot Blanc 2017

Clear and bright with a yellow hue and a fresh bouquet of pineapple, melon, yellow apple and a hint of floral.
This light to medium-bodied wine has a smooth yet refreshing mouth-feel and flavours of melon, pink grapefruit, apple and tropical fruit.
Refreshing notes of citrus and BC orchard fruits, with a hint of spice, linger through on the finish.
Serve not overly chilled at 12 to 14ºC with poached halibut; grilled white fish; roast pork; French onion tart; gouda and Swiss cheeses; lightly spiced pork tenderloin; smoked salmon quiche; Dungeness crab; roasted chicken; turkey wraps.

“This estate grown Pinot Blanc has a soft smooth mouth-feel with balanced acidity. Our use of some barrel fermentation and lees stirring on a portion of the wine enhances the sensory delights of the wine without interfering with the expression of terroir from our Sandhill Estate Vineyard.”
Wine Making Whole cluster pressed. 30% of the juice was barrel fermented and aged in new American oak barrels for 2 months to develop the round mouth-feel and additional complexity, while 70% was cool stainless steel fermented and aged to enhance the pure fruit expression. Hand stirred on the lees weekly to add to overall mouth-feel. To preserve vibrant fruit expression, malolactic fermentation was prevented from occurring.
