King Family Vineyard, Penticton, BC
Just north of Penticton, in southern British Columbia, Rod and Don King have proven that their vineyard can produce outstanding white wines, such as Pinot Gris, that show true varietal character and express the unique qualities of that Okanagan's microclimate.

The Kings have developed a unique grape vine trellising system. Their objective is to increase light exposure on the leaves and on the fruit, thus resulting in a higher quality grape and ultimately great tasting wine. In fact, we highlight this trellising system on our wine labels (as shown above) when grapes from the King Family Vineyard are used.

The King Family Vineyard is located in the middle of the Okanagan Valley in Penticton, and the soil in the vineyard has more clay than our sandy vineyards to the south. The somewhat cooler temperatures and different soil composition result in spectacular British Columbia white wines.
