Sandhill

Hidden Terrace Vineyard

A vineyard worth looking for

Located just north of Oliver, the vineyard received its name because it is nestled behind McIntyre Bluff, on a plateau that is hidden from the valley. With sandy soil, the vineyard enjoys excellent drainage that allows for refined control of vine vigor. A very special location, these unique vineyard characteristics provide an ideal environment for growing the delicate fruit required to make exceptional single vineyard wines.

MICROCLIMATE
This relatively flat vineyard sits on a plateau 330 feet above the Okanagan River. A gentle eastward slope provides excellent morning sun, while the additional altitude means a slightly cooler growing environment.

GROWER PROFILE
The vineyard is carefully tended by MRS Management, which is owned by Mark Antonello, Robert Cleave and Steve MacDonald. Each of the partners is related to, and trained under, Sandhill’s acclaimed grower Richard Cleave.
