Vanessa Vineyard

A vineyard unlike any other

This scenic vineyard sits on 75 acres of rolling hills in the Similkameen Valley. Named for the butterflies that call it home, the microclimate of Vanessa Vineyard features rocky soil, steady winds and excellent drainage into the nearby river. These unique characteristics allow the vineyard to produce fruit of an exceptional quality.

MICROCLIMATE
This rocky vineyard sits on a west, to southwest, exposure that takes full advantage of the afternoon sun. The rolling hills provide the vines with excellent drainage, which lessens the impact from spring and fall frosts. These factors help lengthen the growing season and produce low yields of intensely ripe fruit.

GROWER PROFILE
For over 10 years, Vineyard Manager Nathan Goltz has managed some of Sandhill’s most prolific and prestigious sites. Through his work on Sandhill Estate and Osprey Ridge, Nathan brings a reputation for experimentation and innovation to Vanessa Vineyard.
